Have I killed A tigrina?

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

We've had lots of rain, and this one didn't like it. Is there any hope of saving it?

I moved it to the gh to dry out, what else can I do?

For starters, I would place some stakes in the pot and fasten the stems back into an upright position so that nutrients can travel to the leaves. But I don't know whether feeding it would be a good idea just yet.

I wouldn't bother staking the leaves. Is the soil wet or damp (and has it been that way for any length of time)? I'm gonna bet the tuber is rotting. Too bad our resident aloc expert is out of town (his town, anyway...). He could probably tell you right quick.

Though, if someone knows better, please say so. I'm not expert, I've just killed my share of alocs. They can rot easily.

That's my guess too Carter. I moved it into the gh so that it won't get any more rain. Everything on the deck got a real drenching the past 2 days, seems to be drying out now. Hope none of the others got too wet. I have Cuprea and amazonica and they both like it a little on the dryer side.

Based on prior exchanges with Brian, here is my advice.

Unpot the EE. Carefully remove the soil and check to see if the tuber is rotting. If so, remove all rotting leaves and roots and rotting parts of the tuber.

Some people then like to rinse the tuber in 1:9 parts hydrogen peroxide to water for a few minutes.
Dip in rooting hormone and repot in NEW soil. Water minimally until you see a leaf.

Best of luck.

Thanks Rox, I'll give that a try.
