Well the first of my buds opened on Brown Sugar this morning - all 3 at once! I wish the picture showed the brown color a little bit better - it truly is the color of golden brown sugar.

And here's a close up of the bloom - these colors just make me feel like maybe fall is coming to Southern California after all! Now if it wasn't 95 degrees....

Boy, isn't that the truth! Especially if the plant comes from the grocery store or some other place you wouldn't think you'd find a nice plant. I always tell my husband that "I've rescued the plants" (I'm a serial orchid "rescuer"), knowing that store personnel just wouldn't take care of them right. I always get the same reaction too, a slight crooked smile and a shake of the head along with an audible sigh, lol!
