Another addiction????

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

First my lawn then came zinnias, then came Elephant ears, then along came brugs(which I am awaiting my first bloom), then the pasiflora introduced itself, then came bananas, and now Hibiscus. What next? I find myself ignoring my lawn. Alas! John

Aw, c'mon! Lawns are overrated! They don't bloom at all, plus you've gotta mow all the time.

Lawns are excellent backdrops of course, but when it comes to a choice between grass and another hib (as it often does)? That's no choice at all...lol...

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Yeah, and if you don't mow your lawn at the correct height the weeds try to take over. And getting all sweaty when mowing in the horrible heat is no fun either. Just fill your yard with hibiscus, brugs, passiflora and you'll have a sea of color!

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

Yes, but I have worked so hard to just get to mow that I dont have the heart to let the weeds pop up. My Dad always had a saying, if you want your grass to grow, you have to mow, before the weeds turn to seed.

Looks like you've got PLENTY of yard left for more addictions, LOL!

New Orleans, LA(Zone 8b)

John, I thought we were talking about a *problem*....you've got lots and lots of space...now I, on the other hand, have problems...ROFL...

(and we won't even go into "C", which is behind the first pic, the two walls I've given over to passis and morning glories...where they've gotten so crazy they're starting to climb the live oak tree...rofl...)

I can't even show you mine for you all will know how mentally ill I am. But John, you are so lucky to have so much room. I see a full border around your property in your future that will knock our socks off. And a huge GH too. LOL.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Kell, we are just stuck with this expensive mini real estate, we are just so jealous of anyone actually needing a riding mower. If and when I ever get anything bigger, I'll be too old to dig, will have to hire that out!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Even with a huge yard, we will never need a riding lawn mower Sue, maybe a riding pruning shears. LOL

Hi John, do you have a name for your orange hibiscus?
I have a similar one that didnt come with a name.
Thanks, Dave

OK all of you.....I work hard at getting rid of over an acre of lawn. I have fallen in love with hibbies.....and I cry when I see the colors I CAN'T have that you can have.

Now....THAT'S a problem...*sniffle-sniffle* ;>(

Kellyville, OK(Zone 7a)

Dave, mine didn't have a name either. John

John, it looks like Ardesia answered my question.
After a little comparing, it does appear to be "Carolina Breeze".
Thanks Ardesia!
