Now, don't laugh

Lula, GA

You old timer's (in experience only!) in the brug department--- please don't laugh at me but I'm so thrilled- I have an orange brug!

This is one cutting of many varieties Margo sent me late last winter-
Margo, what orange varietydid you send me? This one's marker has disappeared! This one has nicest fragrance, too!

Thanks, you are the best!

No laughing from me. I very seldom get nice flushes. I am thrilled with whatever I get. Very nice blosssom dixie

That's a beautiful color!! Very pretty!

Thanks, all!

I planted my brug seedlings and cuttings in composted chicken litter- we have lots of chicken houses around here- Gainesville claims to be the chicken capital of the world!! LOL! Anyway, sure makes 'em grow.

Does anyone know if this is Frosty Pink or Isabella? This id'ing of brug blossoms can be confusing as ID'ing hosta, my first passion! Do I need a close-up of the blossom for proper id?

Thanx!

Brenda

Gosh, that orange is such a nice sherbert shade of orange too. Lovely!

Your second picture is great too. A nice shot!! I can't tell those 2 apart as I have not gorown them. I was at a friend's on Saturday and he had each blooming. They were so similar though the Isabella had more interest to her skirt I thought.

bringing up both I think isobella has a much more flair to her skirt

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Wow.. that is really pretty.. I think so anyway.. makes me want an ice cream!

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

she is pretty and blooms a lot, but as you see she lost almost all her leaves to the japanese beatles, now I am fighting 'cats' but they are all still lovely, and worth the work

Thanks for the Isobella photo for comparison. I think I have both, and I do see a difference in the skirt- a tiny bit more flair. Thanks for your help!

The orange one does look like those orange creamsicles I loved to eat as a child. The color is of course fading the longer it sits on the plant but there are many more buds- yes!!

LOL Doris, I am going to save this and next summer when you despair, I am going to remind you. We have it in writing. LOL

Identification of a Brug from a picture is ALMOST impossible. Please click on the above link for an explanation of why.

Your brugs are beautiful
