CLOSED: Meadow sage 'purple volcano' to trade
Lou-
How similar in color is this to salvia lyrata "purple knockout'? Do you know?
ROX
From looking at the pictures, I would say they are identical. I'm not familiar with it and I am going by the tag that came on the plant. They could be the very same thing. Lou
I would love to trade for something. Would you be interested in some persicaria? I have painters palette and lance corporal. I too am in zone 5. I also have some other perennials to trade. What are you looking for? I think the meadow sage is awesome looking! Thanks for sharing.
OOPS....I see it is only hardy in zones 8-9. Pretty plant tho. :)

Are you interested in Moonbeam and/or Coronation Gold Yarrow for your salvia?

Yes, I would like to try the Moonbeam Yarrow. How tall are your mature plants? My address is in the address exchange. Is yours? I will try to get it sent early next week. Lou
Hi Lou,
Is this it?
purple-leaved salvia (salvia lyrata, Purple KnockOut) seeds. Makes and OUTSTANDING full-sun xeric border plant where huechera or other dark-leaved plants would not survive.
