I need to borrow a few Caterpillar/Chrysalis pics to go with my adult Moth/Butterfly pics for my Butterfly presentation to the Audubon Society. I will need to print these photos for public viewing and will need the full size photo e-mailed to me. They will not be published and it is for educational purposes only. There will be no payment of any kind for the presentation. Full credit will be posted on the pic with your name as copywrite owner. Please post here if you have a good shot of any that I need and are willing to share. I will D-mail you my private e-mail addy.

Hi Donna,

I have several pics of a hummingbird clearwing cat and adult that you could use if it is what you are looking for. The pics are of Hemaris diffinis, the snowberry clearwing. Let me know if this species would work for you.

Kenya

Edited to add a P.S: I also have pics of a 5-lined Sphinx moth cat (hornworm) if you needed to resort to using that, but unfortunately I do not have any pics of your requested Carolina Sphinx moth cat (hornworn).

Wow, Donna, wish I could help. The only cats I've seen around my place are those awful azalea caterpillars. I have a pic of an adult clearwing (Hemaris thysbe) that is actually resting on a leaf, but haven't seen any larvae or pupae.

I have pics of Queen cats. And I have pics of a Spicebush cat that's turning yellow. Chrys pics is gone on that one after my computer crash...just a reminder to back up your photos, right?

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

thanks Linda. Yes I know about a crash and lost pics grrrrrr. I have Spicebush up to before turning yellow. I really just need the yellow. Mine dissappeared overnight without getting to see it change. I think something got to him because I never found any sign of it. Do you have some early instar Queen cat pics?? I have recieved a good Adult cat pic and already printed it.

I don't know how much you plan to get into the tomato hornworms, but I've got a good photo of one with parasitic wasp eggs on it... it's in GT under "braconid wasps," http://davesgarden.com/terms/go/1565/
