Carolina Mantid, Praying Mantis (Stagmomantis carolina)
kropit,
That is a great picture of a Praying Mantis, but it has been pointed out to me that it is not the Carolina Mantis, which has wings markedly shorter than its body.
I believe it is an image of the European Mantis - Mantis religiosa: http://bugguide.net/node/view/234299/bgimage
If you agree, I would like to move your image to our page for the European Mantis: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/4054/

That is not a Carolina Mantis. It is a Chinese Mantis.
