bumpy leaf scars

Tucson, AZ

has anyone seen a plumeria with leaf scars like this before? i know that there was a post on the internet probably no more than two years ago about a plumeria with protruding woody leaf scars. i'm wondering if this is displayed only in a particular variety or if it is common.

Cool! Plumeria species P. tuberculata (on Page 22 and Page 67 of J.L.'s book) is similar. I have one from Sandy. Could it be that? Mine is an extremely slow grower.

Dete, yes, P. tuberculata is a species with rounded leaves. Larry over at Pals says that his 'Lurline' is that way too. It must be just another weird thing that plumerias sometimes do! It does indeed look special.

My Kaneohe Sunburst doesn't do that... hmm.. very interesting though... :)
