Dutchman's Breeches (Dicentra cucullaria)
those are wonderful. Wish I could grow them here.
how much shade do they need? will they survive in areas where other dicentras do?
These are growing in white Myrtle under a Serviceberry that gets filtered sun and shade. There is also a lot of leaf compost in the area.
thanks, mygardens. i have good leaf mulch in my site, too. keep your fingers crossed for me; my mail-order plants were really small but i'm hoping they'll be encouraged by the other dicentras nearby!
