You have really busy hart!!! Wow, lots of good choices of places to go. I will probably be able to travel next weekend. I do know that if it would be decided to go to Monticello, I wouldn't have to travel far at all. Less than 30 minutes from me and I haven't been there since 4th grade back in about 1964. ha-ha.

I wasn't able to pull up the website that was listed by the link, but will get to another search engine and see what I can find. Not sure what things will look like at Monticello this time of year, but would expect it would be breath taking in the Spring.

In the past whenever I have thought of Monticello, I was thinking in terms of the house and architecture. I havent really thought in terms of gardens, but I would suspect they are quite gorgeous.

Cannot remember who it was that was looking for a "day away," but I believe that next weekend looks good to me, wherever it might be. I believe that hubby would be glad to drive me up to northern VA somewhere, which are his old stomping grounds.

Wherever, I am in.

Go through the link at the very bottom of the post and all the links should work from that page.

The Monticello gardens are fabulous. I'd go for the gardens alone. They sell some seeds and other garden things through their shop, online and at Monticello, too.

Having said that, I hope you read my other post about not getting too cocky and doing too much before your incisions are healed.

Nope, haven't seen that post yet. But, okay..... hubby told nurse earlier that I would have a hard time just resting.

Anyway, The Monticello Symposium is out of the question. Registration was needed by September 1. The big kicker is that it costs $210.00 That is just not in my budget this week. ha-ha!!!

We will keep looking. Oh yeah, good to know that they have things for sale on-line. Thanks for sharing.
