I`m not sure if this is an herb, but it has an herb smell to it, sorry, I don`t have a pic yet, but will try to discribe it
A plant that has stiff branches and leaves, and growing some small yellow flowers. Any guess as to what it may be?

Mary, your description could fit a variety of plants. Please post a photo.
Also, what do the leaves have any particular smell if you crush one or rub it between your fingers?
Is it a shrub? And how small are the flowers? 1/4 inch? 1 inch? Do they grow in clusters? Umbels? Spikes? Did you find it in the wild? Are the leaves grouped? (Trying to narrow it down.)
Shrub with spread out branches, very small daisy like flowers, (yellow), only one flower shows now, might turn into clusters, because it has little buds around the first flwr. This isn`t easy without a pic, I will try to take one, as soon as more flowers show up.

It could be camomile(manzanilla), but it is very hard to say without a picture.
