Hello All.
Over the last few days, my Brugmansias have finally started to bloom. I thought I would share a few pictures from earlier this evening.
First, insignis Gold.
The show is finally underway!
And finally, Rosamond X Ecuador Pink, one of several from seed that RikerBear kindly shared with me two years ago. A few of these flowers are already on their second full day and don't seem to be coloring up much more. Perhaps they still will? In any case, it really displays its flowers nicely, and they exude my favorite Brugmansia fragrance yet. More sweet and less Datura-ish.
Regards,
Erick

Yeah, all your very hard work has paid off!! Very nice!! I bet your neighbors love being able to see all the blooms as well.
Eric, They look very nice. I am starting to get some more blooms on mine. The wait is the hardest is`nt it.
Thank you both. It seems like I have been waiting FOREVER for these blooms. I get many compliments from neighbors and I appreciate every one.
Yesterday evening, while I was working in another part of the garden, I heard a young couple walked by. The lady remarked "Oh look, they have yellow moonflowers". I had to stop myself from running over to correct them!
Erick
Well Erick they are looking fantastic! So good to see your enjoying them and such a nice display also.
I just chuckled when I read about wanting to correct the couple! I had a couple walk by this summer and out of the Gentleman's mouth came (in a German accent) Aaaa I see you like Broogmancia.
One of the few times I didn't need to explain what they were.
Hope you have plenty more to enjoy before first frost.
Kin
Thank you very much Kin. I'm hoping we get about 3-4 more weeks before I have to bring everything indoors for the season. I am not looking forward to that. Next in line to bloom are Charles Grimaldi, Rosamond and Isabella. I hope they have the time.
Erick
Thank you Kin. You are always so very kind with your commets, and I do appreciate them.
Erick
That must smell great
Tony, it does indeed, especially in the evening. It's also fun that they all have their own unique fragrance.
Erick
Oh, what a beautiful entrance!! I can almost smell it!
I hope you have a very late frost. I always hate to have to bring the brugs in before they bloom! Here in Mi. I have lots of buds, I hope to see them bloom before cold weather.Hopefully we will have a long Autumn!!
Bonnie
Thank you Bonnie. I know exactly how you feel - I have over a hundred buds total on my Brugmansias and I hope I get the chance to see a lot of them. It's been in the upper 40's at night here the last few days (which hasn't hurt the Brugmansias one bit), but we're supposed to start warming up again now. With any luck, I won't have to take my collection indoors until early October.
Erick
Ditto what Kin said, lovely entrance and most attractive building...your brugs are beautiful!!
Lovely brugs Erick. A grand entrance for sure.
Jackie
Thank you very much Sherry and Jackie. I must go outside a dozen times a day just to see the show!
Erick
Congratulations Don! Your flower is gorgeous. Isn't the fragrance just something else? May you get many more.
Erick
Thanks Erick; you too!
