If you go out on nights when its in full bloom you can usually smell it about 30 feet away but the coolest part is putting you hand close to the flower you can actually feel the heat coming from it like a little heater. Aroids do this to send their sents out. I was completely amazing at how much heat the flower produced last time mine flowered.
