From Another Point Of View

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

I've been pushing the camera to see how close I can get it .. so far I'm not disappointed!

Very neat X! So refresh my nonexistent memory. Is this a new camera? It takes great shots.

Wow, what kind of camera?

It's a hand me down from my father. New to me though .. he is one of those guys who buys a very complicated camera then sticks it on automatic. It's a Sony CD Mavica 3.3 megapixels. I've had it a couple of months now and am still learning how to use it. I like it because you can manually adjust ASA, F-Stops, speed and focus on macro shots. It will be awhile til I'm well versed with all the settings.

I'm still not satisfied with night shots yet .. but getting there.

You do take very nice pictures, and I like the "another point of view." I have a hard time taking good night shots. I seem to get too much flash, so I'll cover part of the flash and it does a bit better. It just takes the right touch, I suppose.

Thanks!

One nice thing about this camera is you can choose the strength of your flash. Even on low, it is still too strong for reflective objects and you lose detail. I'll try your method lily and perhaps put some gauze over it.

This picture here of my butterfly ginger is better, but still too much flash which washed out the yellows.

Excellent close up photo in your first posted picture. Your nice shots are also very nice.
