Wanted: Kents Beauty

Lucama, NC(Zone 7b)

I have seen pictures of this and would love to try my hand. Would anyone happen to have some to spare? Not sure if it would come from seed or plants.

Centennial, CO(Zone 5b)

Origanum "Kent Beauty" is an extremely fine border plant. I grew it in my full-sun x-xeric rose beds this year. I haven't seen any seeds, but it doesn't mean they don't exist. The flowers are tiny, and tucked up inside the colored bracts that look like "flowers". I bought mine at a nursery her locally, have no idea if it wil be hardy enough to make it through the winter.

Good luck!

I've never seen seeds from this one either, and suspect it may be a vegetatively propagated cultivar. DeBaggio Herbs describes it as a tender perennial, and since their nursery is in zone 7, I suspect PF is wrong in describing it as hardy to zone 5.... greenjay, if you want to overwinter it, I think you'll have to bring cuttings inside.

Fruitport, MI(Zone 5a)

I just bought this plant too. It was on clearance so it it has seen better days. I too looked for seeds but unable to find them. Not sure what they look like either. I was wondering if anyone has divided this plant with success? How fast will the divisions grow?
Critter, What would the best way to root the cuttings?
