My new roo

Antrim, NH

Here he is, Spots, our gentleman caller from next door. He finally made it all the way into the hen house last night :) Boy were we surprised to see him in the nest box! LOL! Isn't he pretty? He's a meat bird. SO far he is a nice boy. I am handling him a lot to try to keep him tame. We'll see. OUr neighbors have offered to take him back if needed. We have renamed him The Noble Sir Spottingsworth of Antrim, just for fun.

Look how cultured he is! He even dances, like any good Sir should!

Looks like a real gentleman. Wish I could have a rooster. Next time I move it will be to a farm.

He's a beauty.

Thanks!

I've been putting him under my arm and taking him for walks, so that he is used to me handling him. Luckliy he comes from ah ouse with kids, so he is used to being manhandled!

He's such a gentleman, too! He clucks whenever he finds something delicious, so the girls can come and eat it. He talks to them all the time. His special love is our tiny silkie hen. He likes small, older women I guess. He follows her around, especially and talks to her. He doesn't sleep until after all the girls are tucked in. it is so cute!
