Hi Baa!
I did an internet search for a double check as I usually do on ones not already in PlantFiles and I coudln't find it either. I also looked thru currently listed Iochromas in PlantFiles and none seemed to match. So I relied on the nursery name. This nursery was East Bay Horticulture in Berkeley and is a very responsible nursery so I tend to usually believe them.

I usually delete my tag pics after I label my pictues, but thankfully I kept this one for I couldn't find it online.

Did your source have another name for it? If they are an expert in Iochromas I will happily bow to them. I sure am not one.

I had this one too that I just loved but it was in a display I think at Berkeley Hort. A few of us Davers went nursery hopping in the East Bay that day. Anyway, this big tree was in their display with no name and I couldn't get a match for it. Does your person know which one this could be? The white rim flowers thru me off but it sure is a delight.

Thanks for your reply and my apologies for the tardiness of mine.

The member suggested your image was of an I. cyaneum, your tag image (many thanks) seems to suggest this too as it appears that Blue Iochroma is a common name rather than a cultivar name.

As for your 2nd image, I am unable to offer anything more other than it could well be one of the purple varietations of I. cyaneum.

With your permission I'll move your original image to the I. cyaneum entry :)

Man wish They would grow in our area, they are so neat. Our coast is real hummid I may get one on line just to try it.
