My ddh took me to the CBC and it was the most wonderful experience! He wasn't expecting to be thrilled and mesmerized but he was. On the way home he started asking me how many butterfly attracting plants I had. I say that is an OK to go buy some more, don't ya think????? These aren't the best pics, I'm a lousy photographer, but hopefully it will offer a glimpse of what I saw. What a great way to spend a few hours. If you can, by all means do go visit the CBC.

#3. They had these little dishes with nylon scouring pads doused in sugar water, sitting in what looked like candleholders. I'm going to add a homemade version in my garden. They also had dishes with rotten fruit--two butterfies enjoying themselves.

#4 it was wonderful to see butterflies flying everywhere and landing on people without hesitation. This one landed on my shirt and stayed there for quite a while.

My apologies to everyone that can name every butterfly that lands in their garden. I'm still like a kid who points at them in total amazement. But, I'll get there some day...

oh lucky you. Better run go by plants before he changes his mind lol. I got mine to take me to Butterfly World near Miami 2 years ago when we to to MIL's for Christmas. He moaned and groaned about taking me but he had a ball too and took as many pics as I did. I brought both cameras lol

great shots Robin. The plant looks like a curcuma. I bet if you post it on the ginger forum BirdladyLiz or Dave Skinner may be able to ID it for you

robin, I saw the fruit thingy, but the thought of attracting more ants that I already have will keep me from doing that. I am presently working on something similar to your pic posted on 9/8 11:17p. more on that later. great pics, BTW
