That is a really cute picture!! I'm jealous.

I must not have the right kind of milkweed, because everyone has cats everywhere, but I have none :(

I have a pineneedle milkweed and a bloodflower. What kind is that, Donna?

That one plant must be particularly tasty!

PiggyPoo, don't give up hope. Maybe you'll see some as they start moving back to Mexico, or even over to CA.

I've got a mixture of Queen's and Monarch's now. And go figure, 2 eclosed today and it's been raining all day which is a miracle for us! I've given them some zinnias and even Gatorade on the cotton but neither want to eat. They just want out but will have to wait unti tomorrow.

piggypoo, I have found that monarchs will find your milkweed. Just have some patience. It might take a few years. AND you may not notice them and they really are there. They are so good at hiding.
I had a narrow, short leaved native milkweed in MN and I would have missed the cats had I not seen the chrysalis hanging from my white false-balcony above the plant.

The more milkweeds you have, the more likely they will show up and lay eggs also. The Monarchs don't seem to be down here yet either. There's still time!
