a lovely plant in Aiken, SC

While visiting my Mother I saw a deep purple plant with red berries (August 27). It was in a median. Aiken keeps their medians beautifully full and flowering. Any idea what it might be? Looked like a small shrub in form.

if you can give an idea of where its at in aiken it might help me. alot of their plants are put out by the local nursery there. if i knew where to look i might be able to tell you what it was.


also alot of aiken has crepe mrytles in bush form .

Dwarf Nandina?

might also be a type of beauty berry
