These Nicotiana are in full flower now and have huge green sticky leaves and have trapped millions of little bugs on the leaves.
They are scented too!

One of the annual grasses. Seed from this cost a small fortune. So i'll try and save some this year but not sure it will grow the same.

This Hibiscus caused some fuss in an earlier thread for looking a little illegal. Its seed grown and grows about 30cm a month. Just hope it seeds soon as its not hardy.

Well thats all. let me know your thoughts good and bad.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Very nice plants Mike! Your millet is huge! Is the first plant a brug?

LOL @ your "illegal" plant. I have some out front and think that is why the local cops go up and down my road so much. Could have been the Cleome too but it's flowering now. LOL

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Beautiful garden.

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Cheers all.
The first plant is my Naranjilla. Its fantastic to look at it should fruit soon. I have flowers (see picture) but not sure how it will get on.
I have a Coffee shop at my work where the cops meet up every week so i'm hoping to plant some outside for fun next year. I have loads but only one has leaves like this. Just pray it sets seed.

If anyone has seeds to swap i have loads of different things now so let me know. I'll try any thing if it flowers!

Cheers

Mike,if thats the first year, give yourself a pat on the back and a dawng good job!!!!!
That tobacco plant might just be the plant to have in the greenhouse with those sticky leaves!!!!
If you get a chance to grow jatropha m,coral tree,it reaLLY looks like Mary Jane!!!
That would get the cops something to get excited about.
My bed of nails has flowered many times, but no fruit, hope you get some!!!

Javea, Spain(Zone 10a)

I second the pat on the back Mike. I looks quite mature for such a young garden.

What is that purple leaved plant with the huge flower spike? (pic 7) What's the latin name for the Naranjilla?

Tropicman...bed of nails?????

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Hiya,
I think tropic means the naranjilla Its got huge spikes on the leaves but its great to touch lovely and soft so kind of bed like. I think its Solanum something got them from www.jungleseeds.co.uk
The purple grass is Pennisetum purple baron i think.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Thank you for your reply Mike! I didn't really think that leaf looked like a Brug but wasn't sure what it DOES look like either. LOL Really enjoyed your pics!

Badseed, If you get lots of seed from you "Illegal" plant please save some for me, I dont have faith in mine setting seed.
Mike

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I will certainly keep your name. :) I've yet to ever get seeds from them and have started them inside each time. Maybe I should start them now for next year. LOL

Have you grown Manihot (Abelmoschus)?

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Wow mike all looks great. I love the Impomea lobata. Now if I can only find it here.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Love that first leaf, recognized as a solanum right away as it's been on my wish list from Annie's Annuals: http://www.anniesannuals.com/plants/plant_display.asp?prodid=993&account=none
It recently became available but too late in the year I think to add it now.

Tolleson, AZ(Zone 9a)

Sue I evidently had it on my list too. (It is an extremely long wish list) definetly too late for me. I will hae o wait until Spring.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Mike Your garden is abso-bloomin lovely..
Save me some of those Nicotiana seeds, I must have some of that.
Where do I send SASE?

Cherio~
Debnes

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Badseed. I've never grown the Manihot whats it like?? I'll look it up any second.

Nicotiana seed not a problem. I have loads. Sase is a pain though because of the different countries. I do have swaps though. Dmail me and i'll give you my email for a current seed list. swaps to america seem to take weeks though.

Got the Solanum from www.jungelseeds.co.uk i hope thats right. If i get any fruit i'll save some seed. (not looking good so far though)

The impomea lobata is sometimes listed as Mina lobata again i hope to have seeds but not got many flowers so far. They were from thompson and morgan. They set seed easily but need a warm soil to get going.

Cheers

Mike

Did you go search for the Manihot? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1888/index.html

I have plenty of pounds but they aren't good for anything here nor there. LOL

Am I going to be allowed to send seeds to the UK?
