My lavendar plants were planted well back from the sidewalk edge but they have crept forward and now drape over half the walk. Should I prune them back now, wait til frost, or dig them and move them back from the edge? Also, I can't remember...do lavenders keep their dusty green leaves all winter?
Lavendar
The best time to cut lavendar back is early in the spring. If you cut back to within 4 or 5 inches the plants will remain more bushy and not grow too long and flop. You can also thin out any dead branches at that time.
