Why are EE stems flopping over?

Georgetown, SC(Zone 8a)

I planted this Colocasia Illustris about 6 weeks ago. It's been putting out new growth and looked happy til the last two weeks or so. As I hope the photo shows, some stems have flopped over and there are some leaves that look a bit more yellowed/spotty than they should. The plant is in mostly shade with about 90 minutes of midday sun. I water it daily. is this the best I can expect considering it's in shade? Is it healthy? If not, suggestions? Thanks!

My Alocasia 'Hilo Beauty' does that. the oldest outside leaf it seems that it unattaches itself from the rest of the plant and flops over. Are they the ones yellowing out? It looks like it. I would figure they are the old leaves just getting old!I wish we could all age gracefully. lol. Do you fertilize? I use this awesome compost tea mixture once a week. But yours looks great besides that! I understand how you feel totally.....

Yes it does seem to just be the oldest outside leaves. I have not fertilized since I planted this one 6 wks. ago. I have seen others mention this "compost tea". How do you "brew" it? :)
