help identifying a plant

Feasterville Trevose, PA(Zone 6b)

I have a plant that I was told is a 'thomasae" This plant hase ovate slightly ruffled leaves. It gets white petals surrouding red petals in the center with yellow stamens. I think that the berries turn red when they are ripe. After the flowering and seed setting stage this plant begins to grow very vinelike and very fast. This is when I bring it in for the winter and prune it back heavily.

If anybody can help me with a possible botanical name by this description let me know. I don't currently have a picture to post.

Are you sure of the spelling? I typed thornasae into the plant file and it came up with tonsa but the description doesn't sound like yours.

Perhaps Clerodendrum thomsoniae? http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/506/index.html I don't recall it having ruffled leaves, but the rest of the description sounds right.

Thanks ecrane3, that's the one. I have been growing this for the past 3 years. I will be bringing it inside for the winter in about a month or so. The bracts are just beginning to turn purplish right now on some of the flowers. Thanks again for your help.
