Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

My first brown flowered form..called Chocolate High, is a Curt Sinclair Hybrid. This was late today so the flash kinda puts the color out of balance. This one one of my $5 plants a while back. The edges aren't really orange but a dark sandy brown, if its open tomorrow I'll get a better pic.

Wow Kyle, these are just beautiful, I love that wild Hawaiian one, that one is awesome. Where did you get that one from?

Very pretty blooms, Kyle. Chocolate High (formerly called Jim Berry) was the first brown I got. It always showed weakness - same size in last two years - and the last time I visited my plants (I'm in Spain due to some events at work) it was about to die. I have to replace it next year. It had very few blooms but it worked well setting seedpods and as father aswell.

Carlos was yours grafted? mine is own roots. the plant is growing really fast and has doubled in size in just over a month.Setting buds well too, haven't checked to see if this first flower has set a pod yet.The plant does sprawl some what, did yours?

Kyle :-)

Mol, Belgium(Zone 8a)

No Kyle, mine is - or was, I don't know - growing in its own roots as all Curt Sinclair's varieties, except Red Snapper which is grafted.
I would say my plant has upright growth and doesn't sprawl, well if growth means a pair of blooms and a dozen of leaves in two years.

Regards

Carlos
