Has anyone ever done designs with their bulbs?

Chepachet, RI(Zone 5b)

Has anyone ever used their bulbs to plant a design--something other than just a beautiful looking drift? I like how drifts look, but I was looking at one of the catalogs and I saw something that made me think that someday I'd love to plant a big wide wavy line of blue muscari bordered with some other white flower on either side leading from the corner of my property where the road meets my drive up to our front door--I'm hoping the effect would look something like a stream flowing across my lawn. Has anyone else ever done something similar to this, or had some other really interesting design that turned out really well (or not so well?) I'd love to hear about it!

are some pictures where you could visualize this "stream" through the garden.

Bleek--THANK YOU!!!

Oh my gosh they were perfect--especially in slide show 4 of 2004. PERFECT.

I am so going to do this! I don't know how or when or with what money (I did play the lottery today--gotta keep my fingers crossed) but someday I'll get it done and that's that. :D

Thanks again!

Aren't Bleek's pics of Keukenhof wonderful? So full of ideas (and dreams!)

A friend of mine who lives in north Ga. planted red and black tulips in the design of the University of Georgia "G". Guess you could say I was impressed!

I plan on doing color schemes, but not designs per se. Although I have thought about making a pink heart with pink lily of the valley and framing that with white lily of the valley, but that might be a bit toooo cute.

yep, White, very too cute, imho...lol
I never thought of doing a design, but what a great idea!

Bleek, thank you! Seeing K again took me right back to my vacation a long while back. It's still as gorgeous as ever. I can still remember "tip toeing" thru those tulips and taking goofy pix with my sister. grateful.
