I have a Morgan horse that has recently started limping on his right front leg. I've checked his knees, nothing, his feet, nothing but I've noticed when I ran my hand down the side of his neck to the top of his shoulder, he flinched and practically dropped his body from pain. After icing and then heat to the shoulder and neck area twice a day, he seems better but is still limping slightly. Does anyone know or ever heard of pulling a muscle at the top of his shoulder? I need suggestions and am happy to try anything to relieve his pain. He is just 16 yrs. old and this didn't happen from anything I'm aware of. Could a slip on wet ground have done this or playing with our other horse?
Equine Problem
HI there Shepherd!
You might want to try this post on the equine forum. I don't know if we have much expertise here ( speaking for myself only) but they surely would! Good luck!
