That H. lacunosa is one of my favorites, even tho' it hasn't bloomed! I love the purple/blue/red new growth...and its' compactness.!!!
I've never heard of this form of lacunosa. Does the foliage differ any in size or shape? Pretty flower!!

That's beautiful!

Wonderful flowers Maria!! I just love the pink, as you well know!!
Denise, the leaves are a darker green, and I find that the plant is a better grower than a regular lacunosa. And, as Carol says, have purple/blue/red new growth, which is very cool. My flowers, however, have never had pink in them. I tried moving it to a sunnier location, but it just freaked the plant out -it started dropping leaves, and hasn't bloomed since...sigh... maybe too much direct sun, so I've moved it back to the window it was in, only on a shelf higher up.
I actually got mine as cuttings from Maria in the secret hoya trade last year.
Christine
lol, Maria....the 'Barbie Hoya'....how appropriate!
This was one of the cuttings that Christine, (ceedub....you, up there!) just sent me! (Thanks again, btw!)
Now I'm even more excited about it.
I noticed it's foliage did have a sort of a different 'hue' to it than my lacunosa (I can't really explain it, however!) ....and the leaves weren't quite as 'beveled'....though they're about the same size.
What a mystery that the blooms of yours didn't seem to have any 'pink', Christine.....hmmm.......
That is absolutely beautiful, Maria.
What a beautiful shade of pink. Really pretty, Maria
Oh, that is just beautiful Maria!!!
