Psyche.....

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

This is a small flowered, large shrub type. You can tell by the edges that schizopetalus was an ancestor. The flowers angle out and last just one day.

Eclipse, is that a cross of yours?

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Luv I was going to ask the same thing lol. Beautiful. Schizopetalus is one of my favorites

Lonoke, AR(Zone 7b)

It is truly stunning! I want it!!! And yes, that was said just like a 3 year old in a toy store.....lol!

Not one of mine, is an old hybrid from years back.I got this one from a guy in Fla.

Can it be bought?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Not sure, it may still be available in Florida somewhere.

Lonoke, AR(Zone 7b)

Okay, thanks....I will put it on my Christmas list for Santa! ;-)

Kyle, strictly speaking this one should be Pink Psyche. Although its name is related to Psyche, which is red, in my notes I don't have it as sport of Psyche but with unknown parentage. As you say, Psyche has Hibiscus Schizopetalus as father ... and Carnation as mother.

Carlos..there you are.. wondered where you went. :-)

I'll change the name. I also have a red one called Itsy Bitsy that is the most intense red but shape just like the pink one and the flowers angle down the same.Don't know if it's a hybrid or a sport, the leaves look the same.
