My sweet potato vine did very well for me last winter when I brought it inside in a mixed planter of coleus and hibiscus as a matter of fact each time I cut the vine back I was able to root the cuttings in water! I don't know about the salvia is it really a tender perennial or is it an annual? kt

hmmm..I didn't think to overwinter the potato vine. I'll give it a try. I did overwinter coleus and heliotrope successfully last year. I kept them under lights.

Anita,

What did you do to keep pests under control? Or were they not a problem with heliotrope and coleus?

Sorry it took so long to responde..I forgot to watch the thread. I tried overwintering lantana too, but had to toss it due to an aphid infestation. I didn't have many problems with the other two other than gnats. I've been using the yellow strips for them as I also propagate African Violets all year long.
