Purple Beautyberry 'Early Amethyst'
Callicarpa dichotoma

Planted in early June and has shown to be very drought tolerant here in Tenn. with our unusual heat this summer and just starting to bloom in August 2006.

I have been away for awhile but I am glad to be back and wanted to comment that after 1 year this plant has grown like crazy tripping in size even though we had a very bad late frost in the spring and such a heat wave this summer and is now in full bloom..

My camera is in for repairs and probably will not be back in time for me to take pictures of the perfect little amethyst jewels that are all over my plant!!
