water hyacinths in a fountain?

Has anyone ever put water hyacinths in your water founation? Would it work? Will the grow ok?

Water Hyacinths will grow just about anywhere! They would be beatiful in that fountain, expecially when the weather stays warm and they bloom. Have you considered putting water lettuce in one tier for a change in texture to compliment the hyacinth?

Tetleytuna - Thank you, I have never had water plants before. We(hubby and I) were sitting on the deck last night when the ideal hit me. What other plants might work in the type of fountain?
