I have planted 3 of these in a hanging basket, placed on my copper tube pergola with a Rhodochiton in the middle.
The effect is stunning, a little late in the season but I hope to see some more growth before the cold really sets in. They are supposed to like temperatures of 75F, 24C. It might get that occasionally for a short spell, but it's more like a max. of 19-20C now.
This one will come inside for the winter, and I will hope for it's safe return next year.
Caladium Thai Beauty
Wow, that's a beauty.
The full shot. Two of them have a spathe on, I know I should remove them but found it difficult to do!
Now that I can't see the spathes developing at that height I guess I should do it.
The Rhodochiton was twisting together so it ended up hanging from one side, this is the first time I have grown it and I had no thoughts of where to put it until I decided to put the basket together. I think it works well.
Yes ahelms it is! A Thai Beauty!
It's difficult to fathom just how such a colour and form of leaf can exist!
Kaleem you have a nice collection, I do like Gingerland too.
AuntB, they look the same, at least they are consistent! You must have 10 corms in there!
I have read of people not being satisfied with the colour variations of Thai Beauty, so far mine are all looking great and so are yours!
They are so colourful and bright, even on a dull day.
Those are spectacular!
Beautiful show, next year I have to get a few of those. Your garden is lovely.
Show us some more! I think it was 4 corms.. weren't cheap. They will probably be more sensibly priced next year. I'll winter mine over.
Oooooooooooo pretty!
