Too early to I.D. this palm seedling ??

It looks like: Parlor or Bamboo palm but I'm no expert

Have you cut the tips off the leaves? If so, I would definitley say not a parlor palm... likely Chamadorea seifrizii (in perhaps too much sun). but if you haven't cut off the leaves... no idea other that it's some unusual Ptychosperma sp.

Thanks PalmBob;
You're right ,I did trim off brown tips on some leaves.
It was found untended,growing in a hedge,very shaded. Only other palms nearby were Canary Isl. date & Sago palms.Bamboo palm looks like closest match.It is planted in a relatively shady spot now.
Guess I'll have to wait til it grows up a bit.

what are you doing with those palms in your climate?? you can grow almost anything there- so many better and more beautiful palms all over for sale that outdistance all those and grow great where you are!! I have growing zone envy!

It may be a macarthur palm, only a thought:)

You're correct Bob, This is paradise for palm lovers.
I do have seedlings of some Queen,Royal,Canary Island and Areca palms growing.Limited finances don't allow for purchasing larger more mature trees. plus I enjoy seeing them grow up from babies

looks a bit like a wind mill palm

You don't have to spend that much to get some really cool palms... just buy babies... but you have at your disposal a lot of great places that sell palms really cheap, and you can get a lot of unique and incredibly beautiful stuff there.
