ITS RAINING!!!

Dallas, TX

It not just raining ... its thundering and lighting! Maybe a storm is coming on? I got to get out there and cut my timer off. Its 3:55 here in central Dallas, is it raining where you guys are? I am so happy.. my plants are happy!

I think its that cold front moving over your area that we're praying for to the south of ya'll...lol

Did you say 'COLD' front? Somebody say rain/ What's that?

McKinney, TX(Zone 8a)

None here except for a sprinkle or two. It popped up to my South, East, West & North. Hopefully we will get some tonight or tomorrow.

I keep wishing we'd get some on a Friday since I can only water on Tuesdays.... I know beggers can't be choosers. We got a nice shower last Tuesday about an hour before my sprinklers were scheduled to go off. grrrrr It did fill up my makeshift rainbarrel though (a 30 gallon trash can).

I love it. It's supposed to rain all night and possibly all morning.

Oh my! ... my friend lives in Collin County and he has been complaining for weeks .... the house is losing its foundation or something like ... and the trees are almost dead .... and you guys got some strict rules out there to conserve water ... I know you are happy.

Crosbyton, TX(Zone 7a)

wasted texas got some too!!! sad when we are excited about rain!!

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

It spit on us again, and the rain went north. One of these days.....

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well we finally got a long slow rain off and on last night!!! Not sure how much since it is still dark outside. Looks like we should get more. {-) The duck pond down the street was on the news a week or so ago. It is drying up big time. Hope these clouds drop enought to keep them wet.
When we got a sprinkler system put in last year they had the rain / freeze sensor that cost about a $100 extra. We got it put in and haven't regretted it. If you have gotten a 1/4" rain or if the temp is near freezing, it won't cut on. You can get them put on any digital system I think.
Hope those of you you are still waiting on rain get an ample shower in your area.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

It's dark and we have had some light rain. The radar shows more coming, so maybe.

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Yep, it definitely reached crisis level for the plants here (except for nut grass). We just got drenched and the plants are already looking better (the nut grass was a lot easier to rip out this afternoon also). Even established drought tolerant plants were really suffering---I had an established dwarf mexican petunia die (didn't think this was possible)

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

The ranch got 2.4" of rain. A real blessing and much appreciated. The grass looks greener already. Here in town we received 1.1" and are very happy.

Collincounty if you are talking about this plant .... no worry ... you cant kill it ... roots run underground and it appears everywhere.

finally a 1/4 inch of rain and now a week of temp in the 80's. Does that not feel great.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

Heeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyy......................
Just rub it in........ :)

Still sweltering here. The moisture has just upped the humidity, so even though the temp went down the humidity raised it. I was dripping in class all over my papers and text books. lol bet the teacher won't want to read my notes. hehehe

Glad to here you northerners got some wet stuff. mighty fine and I bet them there green things in the ground yander just soaked it all uuuuuppppp. :) giggle.

Ya'll take care now ya here!
