Hurricane Ernesto

Key West, FL(Zone 11)

Not looking good for the Keys right now........Here we go again, with any luck it will break up as it passes over the mountains in Cuba.

Wish you the best celt, it doesn't look good, but I hope it's not too bad.

I'm holding my breath here to after Katrina last year. Sure praying it just fizzles out. I am not going to believe any of the project paths until it hits the Gulf. I am prepared already except for boarding up of windows

Good Luck to each and everyone that is in your area. I hope it breaks up as will before it gets to close to the states.

After Katrina it really makes things scary.

We are ready here too, well on the inside of the house at least. All our papers, valuables, etc. are in order but oh, why oh why don't I stop starting seeds and rooting. There are hundreds of pots in the yard again.

We hadn't done the inside photo inventory for two years so we are snapping away tonight.

Let's all hope and pray this one will fizzle out.

Seems like it may fizzle out, here's the link.

Well, I am hoping that it does fizzle out, but that maybe, just maybe we could have a little bit of rain come up to NC....I am about to shoot myself, I am so tired of this drought we have had going this summer-at least 5 weeks of no rain.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

everyone pray that it does. If not at least they are saying only cat 1 now where they said cat 3 before

We've been so wet down here the last thing I need is more water. I'm having to move plants undrcover because they are just staying so damp. With any luck this one will dump a few inches on you, get the buckets ready.

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

Don't you hate it...too much rain, which I know presents more problems, or no rain, which presents me thinking about getting a gun... lol just kidding, but 3 hours a day of just watering will do that to a person. I can't stand looking at dried out plants, but I can't stand watering...

I am glad that it is not going to be a danger to you, I would rather just keep watering....

The 5 am forecast has it downgraded to a TS and going further east which is good news for us but not for the folks in the Miami and Homestead area.

Hey Early Bird
Looks like it is going to scoot by us to the east, Hopefuly it wont have enough time to develop before it hits the mainland. All of our tourists are gone already so its kind of quiet down here , not good for business, all cruise ships cancelled till further notice.

Hetty, how're you doing? We're supposed to get hit by Ernesto Saturday (as if we haven't had a solid week of rain, rain, rain).

Fayetteville, PA(Zone 6b)

We could use some dadburn rain around here... 5 weeks and all it did was piddle twice.... If it weren't for me running 5 gallon buckets of water back once a week for the past 4 weeks, half the new stuff I planted would be dead by now..... It's supposed to rain tonight, so here's hoping it does.
