Have peach 4 o'clock seed

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I have some seed but alas, just not enough sun. I only have about 20 seeds and they are 2 years old. If you think they are viable, please let me know and I will send them for postage or trade. What do you have that likes shade?

I would love to try them. Would you like some impatiens balforii?

I only need 5 seeds, if luvs (above) wouldn't mind sharing...I have adenophora -- takes dry shade. Also feverfew takes dry shade. I have some weird LARGE Soloman's Seal it's weird because it's 36 inches tall here. They have seeds in berries and I have to collect the berries and extract the seeds. I think I use a strainer and rub them against the mesh, but I'll probably have to ask on DG perennials or seed saving forums for exact directions. All I can tell you is hosta people come here and oooh and aaaah over them, but we have never been able to transplant them. I *know* they come from seed tho. I think they would need a week to dry from the extracted from berry stage, so this wouldn't be a quick trade.

I also have filipendula rubra 'Venusta' - like a big fluffy pink astilbe. It is supposed to get 6 feet, but mine is growing under and on the north side of a gu=iant taxus yew and is only 3 feet tall. Blooms in May-Jun

If you don't like any of those, I also have hosta seeds (mixed or giant green or big blues) and I have liium White Henryi bulblets from scales. They'll bloom next year, but barely., Look for big bloom in 2007.

I have martagon lily seed -- about 5-7 years until you see the 1st bloom, so not for the faint of heart! On the otherhand, martagon bulbs are about $50.00 each, so maybe 7 years isn't that long :))))

If you don't like any of those, maybe pink lily of the valley? I would send 3 pips...they are L shaped roots and a stem and a single leaf (maybe double -- I'm not real sure). The root is planted horizontally just barely beneath the soil surface. Each pip will have a flower next year. It is late enough in the year that they should do okay being yanked up and sent in a bubble envelope.

I actually have a LOT of shade stuff, just not much of it is flowers.

I didn't see anything that especially excited me. Do you have any small hostas with a lot of white on the leaves?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

No, no little hostas with or without white on the leaves. That's okay -- I was thinking peach four oclocks were a brand new special one-of-a-kind-color, but I expect it's just a different kind than I have and I can pick them up next time I place an order.

Thanks anyway.

Illoquin, I can ship them for postage. D-mail me.

I, too, would like some, but also only need about 5 as well. Those little buggers send up volunteers EVERYWHERE around here.

woodspirit1, if you aren't interested in the impatiens I will ckeck to see if I have any hosta seed. If not I will gladly take a few for postage also.
