This big (3-4" long) guy is the feared tomato hornworm, gonna be a sphinx moth.
He is demolishing my tomato plant, but he is so cute. His face looks just like a manatee's.

Oh, good! You'll be host to a whole family next year. Be sure to plant lots of tomatoes for them so you will have some for yourself, and even more the next year. You can see where this is going. Population explosion is just around the corner!
