When I received it Wed. it had two big buds on it and about 5 smaller one. I looked at it yesterday and I thought the buds were going to drop off. Then this morning about 8:30 I looked at them again and still no change. Then half an hour ago I went into the GH and low and behold what did I see,

It was worth every penny I paid for it and even the shipping charges. I am going in and see what else he has that I may want, maybe I better not, I will be broke, oh well I can look. This is the one I got off EBay.

My Persimmon has huge buds and I hope at least one will open by tomorrow. Those plants don't skip a beat, they are so healthy. I'm thinking of ordering some of David's fertilizer next spring.
Next year I am getting this one! I love it.
Alice, I picked up a pound of his fertilizer, but haven't gotten a chance to apply it; I'll take before/during pics.
I finally got this one too.when big enough to bloom this winter will go to the forefront in crossing with the others.
Has great genes for dark colors in the offspring.
Oh that is just BEAUTIFUL! I got my black dragon from him last week too, but no opened buds yet. Looks like maybe mid-next week. Now I can hardly wait! You know another one that looked really pretty in his ebay listings was etouffe (I don't think I spelled it correctly).
I just got back from the show at Hidden Valley Hibiscus, and boy did I get into trouble! I'm going to post a new thread as soon as I run outside and take pics of the ones that have opened blooms. I have a feeling that when hubby gets home, he's going to put me on "shopping restriction" again, lol!
and those huge blooms just blow me away lol.
LOL amarantha, you may get put on restriction but think of the great ride you had getting there.
