Good afternoon, Scott Pratt#2

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

hello, baby! Bloom is a little weather beaten, but still beautiful in my eyes. I got this rooted graft from FL Colors about 2 months ago. I'm excited. My I. Bryan has an inflo coming up also. All my plumies are conspiring to make me deliriously happy. My Panama plumies were recently transplanted to individual pots and are doing super.

could I ask for more? Well, yes, that they ALL bloom at the same time, lol

The color in this pic is not true, flowers are much darker. Also, perhaps you can see a couple of leaves have been munched on. I noticed a spidery, orange looking bug making the rounds. Any ideas?

Nice blooms! SP is a lovely deep red. My picture of SP below - I believe this is pretty true to the real color.
Orange spidery bugs could be assassin bugs and those are GOOD guys
Don't know who has been munching, doesn't look like grasshopper damage which is the only thing that eats my leaves...

All the pictures are beautiful :)

You have a snail problem!!
Snails and slugs eat the plants leaves in the middle and not at the ends like most bugs..
Early evenings is when they come to feast or right after it rains..
Does your orange bug look like this?

Thanks everyone. lopaka and Dutchlatdy, mine is same color as yours, but my first ever bloom not as pretty as yours. but definitely that dark.

lopaka, that is exactly the bug. what is it, friend or foe?

really? snails, huh? Houston is snail country because of our high humidity but none of my other plumies have ever been munched on. Unlike the rest of the state, we have been lucky that we have gotten summer rains here and there and the tropical plants are really doing their thang but so are the snails!

Thanks DL!
Vossner that is a harmless bug not sure what it is..
This guy doesnt like me taking a photo of him that is why the pic is blurred..
Everytime i get near to shoot him and runs under the leaves..
For snails try one of these products based on if you have pets or not..
