Oh my goodness, someone doesnt like Lobelia Cardinalis. I just bought 2 this year and so far I like them. Maybe there is a problem I dont know about thou

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

greenjay, I will take them, let me know when they are ready to be sent.
Thanks Connie

rwmedic I haven't a clue, didn't get the pleasure or displeasure of the plant I had before I stepped on it and broke it completely to the ground, it had tiny buds on it. But I liked the looks of it when I bought it. Maybe greenjay will inlighten you.

I'll also have seed in a few weeks.

Centennial, CO(Zone 5b)

I don't hate the plant, it just doesn't belong in my xeric garden. I planted one by mistake in a batch of purple leaved salvias from the nursery. The nursery didn't know that they had the plants mixed up, but I sure found out once the lobelia took off...

La Salle, MI(Zone 5b)

lol ohhh glad to here there's nothing wrong with the plant. :o)
As soon as the seed is ready, let me know and I will send sasbe your way. :o)
Thanks greenjay,
Connie

I'd also love some of these seeds when they're available... I have a bowl planter that's killed a couple plants because it's too moisture retentive, yet I'm too cheap to get rid of the soil, and too lazy to poke out some more holes in it...
Thanks, Gina

bumping this up so it doesn't get lost. :o)

Hollywood, FL(Zone 10b)

I'm really looking forward to trying the seeds too, Connie. :)
They're gorgeous, and I've had to resist buying the plants I've seen online without knowing if they can take the humidity down here.

Columbia Heights, MN(Zone 4a)

I think they would do well in humidity. They like to stay moist.

I have seeds now. My foliage is almost a burgundy/bronze color. Love the plant, love the blooms. The blooms are such a bright red that my camera refuses to focus on them.

Is anyone who has the seeds/or will have seeds willing to give some for SASBE?
I'm doing the "Thanksgiving Swap" and that's pretty much gonna wipe me out (except of seeds which I've received in newbie SASBEs, but I'm not sure if that's much approved of?)
And thanks for the info beaker_ch :)

cegoins,
The plants are tall, but the blooms are not big. They are about the size of my thumb nail.
