Butterfly and Hummingbird plants for Washington?

I just moved into a new house and I have a yard to landscape! I was hoping that someone could tell me what plants would be good to plant in my area, Olympia Washington, to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. I have a yard that has full sun or full shade. I'll try to get a picture of my yard up soon. I'm trying to go with the permaculture ideal so native plants would be a plus.
