I like your begonia but have no idea which variety it is. Maybe Butch or Lali would know which variety it is.

I just posted a few varieties that I have last week. Would you be interested in trading cuttings? Here is some of my collection. http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/644923/

I think it 'may' be a pink b. sutherlandii hybrid or seedling. If it has bulbs, bulbils etc then it could be. Someone posted one to the yahoo forum a while ago. It was a beauty for sure and yours looks like the pink one posted.

I cant seem to find any info on it. I'll look through Mark Tebbitt's book and see if I can find anything. http://davesgarden.com/gbw/c/2025/

According to his book, pg.220, (link above)

Quoting:

Begonia sutherlandii is commonly grown both as a greenhouse plant and outdoors as a tender container plant. The species can be propagated from seed, cuttings, or the small bulbils that form in the leaf axils in late summer. Begonia sutherlandii is the parent of several hybrid cultivars. Commercially available examples include B. 'Tamborine' (B. Rex-cultorum group x B. Sutherlandii), B. 'Victoria Kartack' (B. sutherlandii x B. olsoniae), and B. 'Weltonensis' 9B. dregei x B. sutherlandii)

I suspect it is closest to the last one, since two members of the yahoo group said they thought it was a dregei. So while it's not a positive ID, at least it brings us closer to knowing who it might be. =º)

Dan Heims of Oregon says "Dibley's in Wales introduced a beautiful, vigorous hybrid of sutherlandii x dregei "

so I went looking and found the following
"Dibleys Pink Showers (311)
PBR applied for. (Formerly known as 'pink sutherlandii'). The habit is similar to B. sutherlandii but is exceptionally free flowering and will be smothered in dainty pink flowers. It makes a superb hanging basket for indoor or outdoor use. "
