Hummingbird Vine
not bad given how far away your are taking them from and they are fast little buggers lol
Beautiful flowers and hummers! I'm not willing to grow a Trumpet vine unless all it's glorious (highly invasive) roots are in a pot. I've got a purple passionvine tho that seems to have a mind of it's own.
cool pics!
It is strange. :o(
(My butterfly vine flowers too early for the hummers. they have finished flowering a long time ago.
Love the hummer pics jmorth! Adorable.

Nice shots!
I had two trumpet vines that were about five years old last summer. They made it up to the second story deck. I lost my place to a fire in February. Hardly anything but ash remained. I dug as many plants as I could save in early spring and then they came in with the debris removal equipment. There is just a pit where my house was. I didn't bother with cutting the weeds down. It's enough to drive out to mow the lawn. I now have about eight trumpet vines growing in the pit that I've been trying to give away. Invasive? Certainly HARDY!!! I'll see if any survive the rebuilding. I'll probably save one just in case. They can be tamed and are great in the right spot. I've seen the main trunk directed through a cyclone fence and trimmed into a nice bush.
Just more proof that you can't kill them! My parents had one for years and it was beautiful but they finally cut it down but they can't get rid of it. Shoots come up all over the place but the worst part is that they come up in the center of other plants so it's nearly impossible to get them out.
So sorry to hear about your house!
