Hello from Oregon

Wilsonville, OR(Zone 8b)

Hi all,

I just joined the forum, and look forward to exploring all the information and collected knowledge that exists here!

My main interest is growing edibles - vegetables, berries perhaps dwarf fruit trees if I can find the space for them. Growing flowering plants mainly to attract pollinators and beneficials.

I am growing all organic, no pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and using the square foot gardening model to a large extent.
I used to grow veggies many years ago, but I have been living in an apartment for the past 18 years, and just bought a house on 1/3 acre last year and got going with gardening this year. I never did garden in this climate, so there are lmany things I can grow here that I was not able to grow when I lived in Sweden.

Hi Herbie,

My husband is what brought me to the US. We lived in Sweden for a couple of years, but the climate was a bit harsh for a native southern Californian, so Oregon was a nice compromise between the two :)
