Gives you from 10 minutes on computer to an hour depending on size . They start at about $30 and go up .
You can make your own with a car battery and one of those things you plugs into cigarette lighter in car . The one with a car battery lasts longer and you can get a small battery charger and leave plugged in all the time in your basement .
You can also get one of those portable battery jumpers with a cigarette lighter plug-in .
I have a portable battery / with jumpers and a cigarette lighter plug-in .[ for the 110 volt ac plug-in and I can charge my cell phone with the car charger .] It gets more use by neighbors starting their cars . I keep in car [ my Blazer ] - worthless if house falls down on it in an earthquake , be good to have in bad storm area's - In Ca , Oregon , Washington - earthquake kit - forest fire areas .

The ups is for tornados and hurricane people to check if it's clear on computer . Bad news to think it's over and you are in the eye .
I hope I am not at computer when big one hit's . I am generally on in the morning between 6 - 8 and maybe in evening between 7-9 . I don't want to have to go downstairs to get outside . This depends on weather it is a hot night or cold night - hot or cold night plants get water in morning , if not hot or cold - they get water in the evening .
Mine [UPS ] is to charge my cell phone , laptop , jump start cars - also has an air pump used for tires , footballs , basket balls and bicycles .
Also have an air tank [ I keep it full - it gets borrowed about twice a month ] and refill [with air ] at gas station .
It's good to keep the kids happy [ help them ] in neighborhood . The parents keep there dogs from going in my front yard when on daily walks
