Well, ya'll -- no big surprises here. Howie's definitely got the job! He and his co-worker toured the plant and then went through that grueling ritual known as salary negotiation. They are happy, both got a small raise. The insurance is cheaper than their current plans, too.

Jackie and I really hit it off. We've had a blast today, laughed a lot and also talked about more serious things. We ended up walking around in Geneva's business district, full of old houses and stores. They had a Caribou Coffee shop, so we both felt right at home. LOL We're trying to convince the fellas to stay tomorrow night so we can all enjoy a day of exploring before heading home in the early hours Sunday morning. It's a pretty area, lots of historic homes and it's also near Morton Arboretum. http://www.mortonarb.org/ They have a maze garden (makes me think of the movie "The Shining").
