Bought a plant called this from HD. Looks like corn stalk leaves shooting from straight tall wood cane trunks. Typed the name into Dave's but no direct results. Maybe I have just spelled it wrong?
Hoping someone can help. =) THANKS!
Massageana Cane?

Thanks renatelynne! That was super fast. =)
The first result that comes up on Dave's has some white flowers...mine has never flowered? But it is indoors. Is this the correct plant?

I would think so. I've seen them there a lot of times. I've never seen one bloom though
Yep, looks the same....except for the "fragrant" white blooms!
Doesn't say how much water to provide? Any ideas? Also, why are the tips of all it's leaves browning? It's done this about a year now.

yep;. that's a corn plant. My brother and I got one for mom one mothersday. it finally got so tall we had to cut it. (it was touching the ceiling). Never saw it flower though.
renatelynne:
thanks for posting, you've helped me a lot.
I read they can get 15'! WOW! But mine has only maybe 1/2' foot taller in one year. So not bad. It will be nice when it does get taller as it's bushed out a tad and blocks the TV from the left seat on that couch. LOL!
I think a DG friend solved my problem!!! Had to pass this on for others:
Dracaenas are extremely sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water. Let your water set out for AT LEAST 24 hours before giving them to your plants. This gives the chemicals time to evaporate out of your water. If this doesn't work, and/or if you have hard water, you may need to switch to buying distilled water (for about 60 cents).
Brown tips mean it isn't getting enough water.
Don't drown it but keep it moist.
Brown tips will stop & it will grow a little faster.
smock,
already assumed it was that at first but have been monitoring water feedings and it didn't make a difference so now i'll try using soft water for it's feedings.
I have one of those and have tried setting water out overnight and it continues to get the brown tips. I'll try the distilled water. That plant makes a great houseplant.
