Apple Valley, MN(Zone 4a)

This hardy hibiscus has been growing in my Minnesota yard for about 5 years. Unfortunately, the tag disappeared when I hired a yard service to do spring clean-up.

This plant seems to have really loved our hot summer. It has never had a cluster of blossoms like this. The stalks are at least 6 feet tall by now.

Might anyone know the name?

Hi Jachurch,
This looks like a Luna Blush HIBISCUS moscheutos - Rose Mallow) How large are the blooms?

Hi pmaggs,

Thanks for the suggestion, however, after going through my purchase records and other plant information, I have concluded that this is Dixie Belle. The flowers are about 8 inches, and as you can see from the picture, it is a heavy bloomer.

HI again, you are correct, the hibiscus in question also has the common name as "Dixie Bell". From what I have learned, It is a "h. moscheutus, Swamp mallow rose, also called a luna blush, for it's color.
I am glad you know her name...it makes it so much easier to talk to her...lol She is a beautiful plant, you have cared for her well. I wish mine was doing as well, so much rain lately has made mine a little under the weather.

Happy gardening,
Polly
