I have to say, this one has really grown on me over the last several years even though I've treated her like the red-headed step-child. She's not an amazing bloomer, but she's good, and she's really come into her own. It's only this year that I finally snapped to and realized her merits. She's now a favorite and I look forward to her flushes. Such a pretty girl! She stays a very clear lemon-yellow (the pic shows a faint orange at the rim, but that's not evident in person). I can't say anything about scent, because I just can't smell anything.
(I didn't rip the flower, it somehow came out like that - she's still very pretty, though.)
Brug 'Sunkissed'
Very pretty, Carter.
I really like it Carter
That is very nice!
She is just darling, a real cutie. Has some sass too in that skirt!
Beautiful flower............Are you saying that you never have felt any scent from her or is your ability to smell those beauties gone.
Janett
Janett, I have horrible sinuses, so I often can't smell anything unless it's really strong. (Or bad perfume. That gets through (and kills) my sinuses every time!) I don't know about Sunkissed's scent simply because I can't really smell well.
I'm happy to say she's finally getting some love. I took her from her pot and gave her a primo spot (probably THE primo spot) in my back yard. She's now in the only spot that can be seen from nearly every spot in the back yard. She's really good as a potted plant as she "Y'"s at about 1.5' to 2', which also makes her perfect for the spot she's in - I wanted a low growing brug there. She took over the spot from 'Gypsy Queen' who blooms really well, but just ain't that pretty (in my opinion). At least not in our hot, hot climate.
Are all Brug Flowers Girls ?? Regards Paul
Nope. Some... just a few, but some, are boys - or, at least referred to in the masculine sense. ;)
I tried to google for a med i have that work wonders with all upper airways. Ears, nose AND sinuses but couldnt find it. Both my DD and I have used it for many years she from the age of 6 months (now 13) and I for the last 10. It works wonders and lets the sinuses and all the most upper airways heal. She dont need them at all now ONLY when she gets a really nasty cold and her ears starts to hurt. The med is called Rinexin here and the active ingridiens is (Swedish) Fenylpropanolamin, check with you Dr. I promisse that you will be able to smell the Brugs then.
Isnt some Perfumes just horrible and they dont have to be the strong one to trigger the airways but Hugo Boss should be banned from making perfume.
